Smoke Ventilation Systems

Due to the large areas within the mall and higher density of people, effective smoke ventilation is essential to ensure escape routes are kept clear.

Therefore, there is a need for efficient exhaust automation and control to ensure smoke ventilation system operates perfectly in the event of a fire, allowing smoke-free escape routes to be maintained for shoppers and staff.

In the event of a fire, the mall’s smoke sensors trigger Smart Relay Genie which in turn operate actuators to automatically open the windows and ventilators, allowing smoke to be vented to assist escape. Manual operation with the help of emergency pushbutton switches are also incorporated within the design to allow manual actuation of the system.
Timer relay logic is used for cascade operation of the vent actuators in both open and close directions with the required delay between them. This ensure quick action upon sensing of fire with smoke sensor input. This system not only save significant investment on system installation, but also on design, implementation, integration and maintenance.

With RS485 communication, it can remotely send information to central processing station, thereby remote triggering alarms /status can be configured.

It also offers local LCD display, thus offering onsite user friendly control and system configuration.
Digital outputs of Smart Relay Genie are integrated with fire alarm system to generate fire signal as well it is connected to BMS System.
