To protect Motor from over heating and supply faults.

Thermistor+SPP motor protection relay is used to monitor the winding temperature of motors using PTC sensors (inbuilt in motor winding) and to protect them from abnormal over heating due to overload or insufficient cooling. Along with protection against over heating, GIC’s relay also protect the motor from abnormal supply conditions like phase fail, phase reverse or phase unbalance.
