A) General Information:
Job Title: Power Electronics Geographic Location: Pune
Required Qualification:
BE/B Tech/(Electronics/Instru/ telecommunication/Electrical)
Required Experience: 4+ years

New Product Development
  • Create product architecture (HW) (R)
  • Identify and finalize key components & tools be used (R)
  • Create block and signal flow diagram (R,A)
  • Perform power budget estimation (A)
  • Develop schematic (A)
  • Create component lifetime calculations and MTBF calculation (A)
  • Perform power budget calculations (A)
  • Assess product and compare plan v/s actual cost as per BOM (R)
  • Create DFMEA and closure (R)
  • DFM and DFT Closure (R)
  • Create Part List (A)
  • Build board assemblies (A)
  • Conduct design validation and publish validation reports (A)
  • Prepare for engineering release (R)
  • Participate in discussions with Testing team on test results (R)
  • Take a corrective course of action on design issues based on reliability testing (R)
  • Provide inputs for product literature, manuals/videos and sample applications (R)
  • Adherence to SPI (Schedule Performance Index)
  • Timely and accurate documentation (design/ schematic etc.)
  • Product cost performance index
  • Permissible revisions in hardware (PCB) to production release due to design change
  • No issues in pilot batch on account of DFM/ DFT
Design Standards
  • Prepare design guidelines, SOP & conduct technical design reviews (R)
  • Adherence to the design standards and process framework (A)
Project Planning & Execution
  • Prepare project plan for the stream (R)
Project Monitoring
  • Organize/engage in periodic review meetings with DUs to discuss issues, review the progress, identify new requirements, obtain feedback and action planning (R)
  • Monitor, review and ensure optimal use of budget as per the plan and estimates (R)
  • Prepare timesheet (R)
Customer Complaints & Support
  • Perform RCA, provide resolution and release for testing (R)
Knowledge Management
  • Contribute to the knowledge bank by adding / updating the knowledge (R)
People Management
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with structured feedback (R)
Capability Development
  • Track and report trends, identify best in class
    practices in the industry and stay updated on
    various technology /process up-gradation (R)
  • Develop new/optimized ways of working (R)
Technology Roadmap
  • Share ideas and suggestions for implementation (R)

  • Hands on Design experience of various SMPS topologies like Buck, Boost, Flyback, Half bridge,
    Full Bridge etc.
  • Hands on Design experience of various power
    supplies like SMPS, Linear and capacitive based
    Power supply and its thermal design

  • Magnetics design calculations & design considering EMI/EMC aspect. Like Transformer, choke, CMC etc.
