Annunciation Of Pump Faults In Irrigation System

Lift irrigation scheme carries water through pumps, from water source to main distribution chamber and distribute the water to various fields through proper distribution channel. There are various components in lift irrigation system such as pipe, chamber, pump house etc. Control & relay panels are installed to control and monitor such critical systems. If any fault occurs in the irrigation control system, then it is indicated by using Alarm Annunciator on control panel. Alarm annunciators are used to show any type of faults in the system, which warns the operator to avoid accident.

Alarm annunciator is used to bring operator’s attention to an abnormal or unsafe operating condition in the plant. Annunciator is an array of indicating lights which indicates the faults by blinking and sounding an audible buzzer. GIC alarm annunciator AD5D16L installed which is a 16 large windows annunciator with supply range of 18 – 60 VDC. These LED windows are controlled by hard-wired switches/relays in the plant, arranged to operate when a system condition enters an abnormal state such as high temperature, low pressure, Pump trip, low level of intake well, MCCB Trip, loss of cooling water flow, or many others.
